Brief:
Explore the world of sabotage, question it's role (and necessity) in society. Determine the importance of sabotage, examine the moral and ethical dichotomies where sabotage appears to be the last and only solution. Solution:
I thought of board games, and how many times pieces have gone missing, making it difficult or impossible to play the game. Chess came to mind, and my initial thought was to break the pieces leaving just the stub's, therefore by not being able to recognise the pieces one would not be able to play the game. The other options were to lose the king or queen two of the most important pieces in the game or to keep the four middle squares in the centre the same colour for example all black or all white.
The final chosen outcome is the chessboard that cannot be brought in a shop, an 8*9 chessboard. I feel the chessboard is more subtle then workplace sabotage guide and it may take a few moments or a game to acknowledge the deliberate sabotage. I essentially sabotaged the grid as it is no longer an 8*8.
Final piece:
8x9 Cheesboard
